Recipe - Holland Bell Peppers

Bell Pepper Surprise

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

2largeBell Peppers
1/2lbground beef
chopped onion
salt, pepper
nutmeg
butter or margarine
dash of milk
parsley
stock
1slicebread
breadcrumbs

Procedure:
Prepare the peppers and cut off the top. Soak the bread in the milk. Combine the ground beef with the bread, onion, and other seasonings. FIll the peppers with the mince mixture and sprinkle them with the breadcrumbs. Add a dab of butter or margarine to each pepper, and put them in an ovenproof dish containing a little stock. Cook in a warm oven for about 25 minutes, until they are tender.

Sprinkle the peppers with finely chopped parsley before serving. Delicious with rice or macaroni.
