General information: | Now widely grown commercially, it is probably the most popular of the "exotic" mushrooms. Its distinct aroma and flavor make it a memorable morsel. Works well with red meats, in particular. Chop its stems for soup stock. Shiitake is a good source of fiber and B vitamins. |
